The Assessment Morning will consist of various activities and challenges, designed to help us see how you work within a team, measure your ‘out-of-the-box’ thinking and view how you tackle various work-based scenarios.
These assessment mornings are scheduled for
— 2nd October at PGL Liddington (provisional location)
— 3rd October at PGL Caythorpe Court (provisional location)
— 9th October at PGL Caythorpe Court (provisional location)
— 10th October at PGL Liddington (provisional location)
The assessment mornings will run from 10am to 1pm.
Yes, we will cover reasonable travel and accommodation expenses. Please discuss this with the Resourcing Team once you have received your invite to the Assessment Morning.
AUSTRALIA
On completion of your secondment in December 2024 you will have the opportunity to travel for 4 weeks returning to your centre in the UK in February half term 2025. PGL will pay for and organise your flights and work visa. Please note however, that if you do not return to your UK role as expected you will need to repay 100% of the costs incurred (flights and visa) in enabling your secondment. This amount reduces to 50% should you return to the UK and commence work but not complete your full UK contract. To secure a 417 Working Holiday Visa, you will need to be 18- 30 years old (or 35 years old for some countries including the UK) and have AUD$5,000 in savings.
FRANCE
Non EU or EEA nationals will be required to apply for a visa and work permit. PGL will pay for and organise your flights and work visa. The entry requirement for CELTA is that you are a proficient English language user (from CEFR Level C1 [eg English to a minimum C/5 at GCSE] or IELTS Band 7 and above) and that you have the minimum number of UCAS points (112 points) to access further education, gained across any A-level or BTech subject. (or equivalent).
If you are successful in joining the CELTA programme, you’ll complete a four-week intensive training course at International House in Torquay. For the duration of the course you’ll stay at nearby Barton Hall. There are two courses running in 2024:
— Course 1: 12th January – 9th February
— Course 2: 22nd February – 22nd March
If you complete your 2024 contract with PGL, you will not be required to repay any of the training cost.
If you leave part way through your contract you will be required to pay back 50% of the cost. If you leave PGL after completing the training, but before starting in the role, you are required to repay 100% of the training cost.
No, the Australia team will decide which centre you’ll be working from… but don’t worry, they are all AMAZING!
Yes, you’ll need be be a confident skier or snowboarder to become a PGL Ski Rep. You’ll also receive lift passes to enjoy your free time on the slopes!
No, due to the cost of visas and travel you must be able to complete the full 12 month secondment to Australia.
No, at this time these opportunities are exclusively for PGL colleagues that have been identified as ‘surpassing performance’.
