Sarah, General Manager
For me, being the GM for Barton is hugely rewarding, every day is different looking after both our guests and all our colleagues. As well as enhancing young people’s lives and giving them an amazing residential experience, I love getting to know my team and their individual goals. By spending time with them I get to support their development as they progress their journey with PGL.
Danny, AIGL
I came to PGL through an exchange programme all the way from Australia! I've really enjoyed my time here, I've learned a lot of new skills, I've become a Fencing and Axe-Throwing Instructor and a Lifeguard. I love the community here, I've made some really good friends and had lots of laughs. On our days off we go travelling together - we've just come back from a trip to Norway.
Alice, People & Culture Officer
I ensure you receive the best journey and experience with us at Barton Hall, through a warm and friendly welcome, to partaking in regular colleague events, and even ensuring your accommodation is up to standards. Alongside your line manager, I am a friendly point of contact for any queries you have that affect your experience. I’m sure you will love your time with us at Barton Hall as so many of our colleagues do!
Aaron, Chef
I have been with PGL for a couple of years now, I started as assistant chef at Barton Hall for two seasons and this season was promoted to the position of Chef after learning all the elements of being assistant and developing my skills over that time. I love cooking healthy meals for hungry guests and colleagues alike. You can expect to see classics such as Spaghetti Bolognese, alongside a fully stocked salad to keep you full and happy.
Amy, AIGL Team Leader
I joined PGL in 2018 after college on a whim as I didn’t want to go to uni and had no idea what I was doing with my life. I started as an Instructor at Osmington Bay. Since 2018, I have been able to travel and have worked in both PGL France and Australia. During my time in PGL I have worked as an Instructor, Team Leader, an AIGL Trainer and a HR Administrator. This company has allowed me to gain a lot of knowledge in managing people, delivering fun sessions and meeting lots of people from all over the world.
