Set in 250 acres of spectacular woodland and countryside, Boreatton Park is PGL’s biggest centre. Boasting multiple lakes, five ziplines and approximately 300 employees, there is never a dull moment. With so many colleagues on centre, you’ll enjoy meeting lots of new friends, getting involved in the many clubs and events and being part of the buzz of this busy location.
The team love taking out the canoes and kayaks to explore the River Perry which borders the centre, and visiting the bustling town of Shrewsbury, perfect for shopping, entertainment and restaurants.
As our largest centre, there are plenty of opportunities at Boreatton Park. Whether you want to work outdoors with children, aspire to become a Head Chef, or are interested in forging a career in one of our many specialisms, there’s something to suit everyone at this diverse centre… and plenty of opportunities to progress and develop your career.

It’s impossible to get bored at Boreatton… our BIGGEST activity centre! The Crazy Moose hosts lots of fun social events such as karaoke and quizzes and outdoors the new colleague area is complete with a fire pit and BBQs. There’s plenty of clubs to get involved in, such as rounders, football, dodgeball and netball. #TEAMPGL make great use of the facilities, organising climbing evenings, watersports evenings and more.
Shropshire is a great place to live and work, as it has a lot of its own attractions and is conveniently situated between three of the UK’s largest cities (Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool) which is great for city visits, concerts and airports.
Colleague facilities on-site: On-site bar, BBQs and fire pit, sports barn, indoor climbing, football pitch, playing fields, laundrette, colleague wi-fi.
Ali, General Manager
I have worked at Boreatton for over 20 years! I started as an Activities Group Leader and have worked in many varied positions in my journey to becoming a General Manager. I’ve never considered leaving Boreatton because PGL have believed in me and invested in my development to give me a career I’m proud of. And I still love it here! You too could have a career that you are proud of.
Stella, AIGL
One of the things I love about my role is the variety of different activities I get to run, being an AIGL is really interesting - and I get to inspire children every single day!
John, AIGL
The thing I love most about being at Boreatton Park is getting to work in the great outdoors with children, it's great getting them out of the classroom, having good fun with them and keeping them entertained.

Boreatton Park is such a welcoming and happy place, everyone is very positive and the atmosphere is great. there's loads going on and things to get involved with. The location is great, I love hiking, so having Snowdonia just 90 minutes away is incredible. There's also loads of great shops and places to eat nearby in Shrewsbury and Chester.

Boreatton is really special - we have lots of different activities and water sports to get trained on, we've got SUP, Giant SUP, kayaks, raft building and even a river to canoe down. You'll meet lots of fun people on the way and have an amazing experience.
