Winmarleigh Hall is a 19th Century country house set in 50 acres of gardens, parkland and woodland with a large, purpose-built lake. Close to the historic city of Lancaster and the Forest of Bowland, this is a great place to explore the North West of England.

The southern Lake District is just an hour away, ideal for some amazing canoeing, biking, walking or climbing. The bright lights of Blackpool is only 15 miles away for some seaside fun or a night out on the town. Winmarleigh is a busy, bustling place to be, and with over 100 colleagues to get to know, you’ll be making new friends in no time at this energised centre.

Why we love Winmarleigh Hall...

The surrounding area of Winmarleigh Hall offers an endless list of things to do during your time off. The South Lake District Peninsula is only an hour away and provides a playground for walkers, canoeists, mountain bikers and climbers. For a fun night you can venture out to the bright lights of Blackpool which is approximately 15 miles away. Winmarleigh is also close to Lancaster and Preston, which offer various shops and leisure activities. If you want to stay closer to home, Garstang, the local town, has a range of pubs, shops and a leisure centre with swimming facilities, and the local pub is within walking distance. The team also make regular use of the centre’s activities out of hours including climbing and watersports evenings.

Colleague facilities include: Revamped accommodation and colleague areas for socialisation, cinema/TV room, pool table, darts, board games, laundrette and free wifi.

Tony, Guest Experience Manager

As the Guest Experience Manager I pride myself on offering the best experience possible to all the young people who come and stay at Winmarleigh. Whether that is during activities, evening entertainment, mealtimes, or downtime in their rooms. If you are motivated by also offering the best experience possible then why don’t you come and join my team?

Niall, Head Chef

I love being the Head Chef of Winmarleigh because I get to work with an excellent catering team. We all work hard to ensure every guest is well fed, there are no hungry tummies and they all enjoy their meals during their stay.

Oli, Team Leader

In my role as AIGL Team Leader I help the activity instructors and group leaders give the best experience for our guests through training and coaching. It’s a great role because I can see how by spending time and effort working with the AIGLs their confidence and belief in themselves improves and they can deliver great activities to our guests.
