Make a difference as an EFL Director of Studies

We’re searching for an EFL Director of Studies to oversee our successful and popular English Language Programme, combining classroom based English language lessons, excursions and our famous PGL outdoor activities, to bring learning to life!  

There are a wide range of nationalities from across Europe and Asia that we have visit our Centres. You will have overall responsibility for the running of fun, safe and well-structured courses on centre, through managing a team of EFL teachers (including potentially teaching some sessions yourself) – all of you contributing towards an enriching experience for our guests and their tour leaders / agents.  

Albeit you’ll be bringing your teaching expertise to PGL you will get plenty of support to get you up to speed on how we approach our programmes through a 4-day induction, an annual CPD review meeting and central assistance from our Academic Manager. In addition, you will benefit from pre-written courses for your teaching team to deliver (A1-B2 level) making this an ideal first step into academic management. 

Is this you? 

  • Hold a Cambridge DELTA/Trinity Diploma, TESOL/TEFL Q, PGCE plus CELTA or equivalent qualification 
  • Experienced in delivering classroom based learning. 
  • Previous line management experience; setting tasks and objectives and ensure these are delivered to high standards 
  • Organised, self-motivated and diligent. 
  • Excellent communication and people skills. 
  • Full UK driving licence desirable and happy to travel and work between a number of our beautiful centres.
