By joining PGL, you’ll play a key role in delivering on our mission to make outdoor education more impactful, sustainable, and inclusive for future generations.  Excited? So are we!

Make a difference as a People & Culture Officer

At PGL,  people are people, not ‘resources’. So we waved farewell to ‘Human Resources’, and introduced ‘People & Culture’, which much better reflects our two key priorities; looking after our people, and developing an amazing culture... which go hand-in-hand like kids and ziplines!

Our People & Culture Officers are experts in balancing the fun and professional working environment which makes #TeamPGL so special. In this role you’ll gain an appreciation of what makes our people tick, what is important to our colleagues and use this information to continuously improve the way the P&C team operate.

You will be providing vital support our colleagues, from acting as a champion for their welfare and wellbeing, to providing professional guidance & advice to our line managers to help them lead their team & resolve employee queries in the best possible way. You’ll enjoy building an excellent working relationship with the central resourcing team to achieve our recruitment goals, and the central people development team to upskill and train management teams.

Is this you?

Previous experience working in an advisory HR or People & Culture role is essential. You will have experience in advising and partnering line managers in employee relation cases, providing professional advice based on a good knowledge of employment law. Alongside being an advocate of colleague engagement and wellbeing.

You will have strong organisational skills, analytically minded with ability to produce informative reports and presentations. You should also have experience of delivering training and interviewing.

Above all, it’s our core values of FUN, SAFETY, QUALITY, INCLUSIVITY, TEAMWORK and RESPECT that unite us.

A place to thrive

No matter your background, ethnicity, sexuality/gender identity, SEND, neurodivergence or anything else… PGL is a place to be yourself, have fun, use your valuable skills for good and celebrate what makes you brilliantly unique.
