The General Manager is central to developing and leading a strong Centre team, managing all facilities and resources to deliver the PGL Standards. Leading the team to exceed customer expectations, achieving financial targets and ensuring a strict culture of excellent Health and Safety.

THE ROLE

We are recruiting for a fixed term contract (or secondment) to provide maternity cover leave for the current General Manager, overseeing the different aspects of the operation including the hospitality departments, guest care team and the relationships with local out-sourced businesses. 

The centre has a bed capacity of 530 guests and will welcome a team of 70 colleagues. As the General Manager you will play a crucial part in ensuring the PGL offering is delivered with excellence to each and every guest, it continues to deliver a strong financial performance, all underpinned by a strong culture of excellent health and safety and safeguarding.


Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you’ll develop and lead a dynamic and inspirational team, setting clear objectives and ensuring they have all the support they need to be successful in their roles. You’ll embrace our core PGL values and implement them in the running of this 24/7 operation, and the complex challenges associated with residential settings of this scale.

  • Operational management experience, confident in leading and training a high performing team
  • Experience in a leadership and management role
  • A demonstratable track record in delivering amazing guest experiences, able to listen, understand and effectively provide solutions
  • Confident in managing finances, budgets, cost-planning and reporting.
  • A commitment to upholding stringent Health, Safety and Food Hygiene standards.
