THE ROLE
We are seeking a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join our friendly IT Team at Discovery House, our Support Centre in Blackpool. The successful candidate will work with the wider IT team and external vendors to resolve IT related issues and service requests for our internal customers. They will also be involved in investigations, evaluations and implementation of new technologies, hardware and systems.
PGL Group supports over 3000 IT users across all PGL group locations as well as customer facing systems and infrastructure from its offices in Ross-on-Wye and Blackpool. The team strive to provide stable and secure IT services and support internal and external users with an excellent customer focused approach.
IS THIS YOU?
The successful candidate will have great communication, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills who love working as part of a team. We’re looking for experience with Microsoft technologies including Windows 10, Active Directory, Azure AD, O365 (Office, Exchange) and Windows server as well as networks, security awareness and voice systems.
These are exciting times for IT in the PGL Group, with opportunities to be involved in companywide transformation projects getting underway involving SDWAN, WiFi, Zero Trust Security, Endpoint Management, Identity Management, Cloud and Telecoms.
Some occasional travel to other locations in the UK and Europe may be required. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the on-call rota and help the team with out of hours patching and upgrade work when needed.
