ASSISTANT CHEF

As an Assistant Chef with PGL, you’ll be paid to hone and develop your skills whilst working at Marchants Hill, our stunning activity centre in Surrey. With no late nights and a guaranteed Friday or Saturday evening off each week, this could be the perfect role to develop your career in catering without sacrificing your social life or that all important family time!

Reporting to the Catering Manager, supporting the Chefs, and working within a friendly & supportive catering team, you’ll be responsible for preparing & serving a range tasty meals such as cooked breakfasts, soups, pasta dishes, dinner favourites and sandwiches/salads. You’ll demonstrate an understanding of Food Safety, allergens and dietary requirements.

IS THIS YOU?  

  • Enjoys the buzz of working in a busy kitchen as part of a fun and friendly team.  
  • Personable & approachable with excellent communication skills. 
  • Willing to work towards excellent knowledge of food hygiene & handling dietary requirements  
  • Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering is a bonus, but not essential.
